Body mass index, or BMI, is the measurement of choice for many physicians and researchers studying obesity. BMI uses a mathematical formula that takes into account both a person's height and weight and equals a person's weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. (BMI=kg/m2). When you calculate your BMI we will show you pictures of people who have a similiar BMI to you at the bottom of the page. We're still trying to compile a good set of pictures so submit yours today! Knowing is the first step towards weight loss.
